A German doctor warns of neglecting the symptoms of allergic rhinitis

The spread of pollen during this spring season causes some health problems for some people with what is known as allergic rhinitis.

The symptoms of allergic rhinitis, also known as allergic rhinitis or hay fever, are sneezing bouts, increased tear secretions and a runny nose, in addition to fatigue, sleep disturbances and breathing problems, said Dr.Stefanie Rozeler, a German allergy specialist.

She stressed the need to consult a doctor immediately after noticing these symptoms to conduct the necessary tests to verify infection with allergic rhinitis, warning that this infection may be part of a chronic inflammation that, if untreated, leads to problems in the sinuses, stomach and intestines, and in the worst cases it may reach Limit asthma.

In addition to the drug treatment of anti-allergic drugs and cortisone drugs, the patient must avoid exposure to pollen, by closing the windows tightly, and staying away from gardens and orchards.
