Philippe Lacheau returns to Amazon Prime Video with a new game combining reality TV and humor: "LOL: qui rit sort!".

Ten personalities are locked up all day in a room with one goal: not to laugh, otherwise they will be eliminated.

Wild card and production surprises will spice it up.

INTERVIEW

Who will be the last to laugh?

A new comedy show lands on Amazon Prime Video this Friday with actor and director Philippe Lacheau at the helm.

The concept of "LOL: who laughs comes out!"

is simple: ten celebrities are locked for a day in a room and the first to laugh comes out.

And so on until there is only one left.

The survivor of the joke wins the sum of 50,000 euros for an association.

"The candidates really let go," says Philippe Lacheau, on Europe 1.

A five-star cast

The cast is well supplied for this first French season of this Japanese program, adapted in Australia or even in Mexico: Julien Arruti, Tarek Boudali, Fadily Camara, Hakim Jemili, Gérard Jugnot, Reem Kherici, Kyan Khojandi, Bérengère Krief, Alexandra Lamy and Inès Reg, lent themselves to the game, mixing reality TV and a comedy show in a refined setting: 1,200 square meters, American cuisine and sushi, as well as 50 cameras so you never miss a smile.

With the help of authors, but also of wild cards, each candidate will try to make his comrades.

And anything goes!

"Each candidate has a joker card, he can put on a little show to make the other candidates laugh, make them crack by surprising them," explains Philippe Lacheau.

The various and varied accessories are authorized: "Everyone had the right to come with a suitcase and to bring back what he wanted", he adds.

Disguise, joker card and porn movies

During six episodes, of 26 minutes each, Philippe Lacheau, leader of "La Bande à Fifi", plays the role of host and game master alternating red and yellow cards.

"They are used to give a warning if I discern a first laugh or a smile. Then, there is a red card synonymous with definitive elimination from the game," he recaps.

Production also plays its destabilizing role.

"We tried to have small cartridges just in case to try to give in, to feed," he jokes.

The candidates' flagship series and films are diverted in the form of pornographic films, for example, or some receive false information. Like Gérard Jugnot. Convinced of participating in a disguised show, he enters the room wearing a Robin Hood costume. "It's great to see someone like Gérard Jugnot, with his career that we know, who is completely loose in the program", laughs Philippe Lacheau.
