WELT AM SONNTAG:

Young people are particularly at risk for the negative effects of consumption.

To do this, you conduct regular surveys.

How does it look there?

Bernd Werse:

Since a peak around three years ago, we have observed a significant decline in consumption among young people.

We survey students from Frankfurt am Main every year, which is pretty representative, at least for large cities.

As far as the proportion of young people who have "tried" it at all, we have even reached a new low.

This probably goes hand in hand with the ongoing non-smoking trend.

WELT AM SONNTAG:

Since the legalization and decriminalization efforts in countries like the USA, Canada or Portugal, the social acceptance of cannabis seems to have grown.

Are we also facing a turnaround in drug policy?
