The abuse allegedly took place last autumn when Paradise hotel was recorded at a hotel in Mexico.

The male participant was sent home from the recording after a few days for repeated "rule violations".

The episode about the alleged abuse was out for a while on Viaplay on Tuesday but was removed along with other episodes.

Nent, which owns the streaming services Viaplay and Viafree, has reported the incidents to the police together with the two female participants and started an internal investigation.

“Could have acted differently”

The production company Mastiff and the media group Nent have been criticized, among others, by Expressen's columnist Irena Pozar, who believes that the company acted too late and too little.

One of the female participants who testified about the abuse now says that she wishes the production company had acted differently.

- They acted well when they acted, but it would have been better if you acted when it happened.

It was only when we told them about the incident that they did something.

Then the production called and said that "this was not good", says the female participant to Kulturnyheterna.

Did not get to talk about the incident

Was there talk of reporting to the police then?

- The thing was that we were not allowed to talk about the events in the house.

I tried to suppress what had happened because you do not want to talk about what is difficult.

Then I knew we were not allowed to talk about it, so then you have to suppress.

Now everything is being pulled up again and it is difficult, she says.

Why were you not allowed to talk about the events when you were in the house?

-

They have said that you should not talk about participants who are not there and things that have nothing to do with the house.

There was one time I was going to tell another participant about what had happened, then they called and said we were not allowed to talk about it.

About a week ago, the two female participants had the opportunity to see the pre-cut episode that was broadcast on Tuesday.

The idea was that they would be allowed to give their views.

- There was a lot I thought was strangely cut, for example, they did not include certain events that I thought were relevant.

Before Tuesday, they had the opportunity to see the episode once more, after leaving comments.

The female participant says that she feels that the episode was angled in favor of the accused man and lacks relevant information.

- They had not listened to what we had said at all, but cut in a completely different way.

Now you only see one thing, but it was more than that, she says.

The other female participant also tells SVT that she was disappointed with the episode's cut.

- Once they show the episode, it is cut in a completely different way than what we saw the week before and they had not taken into account any of our views.

It's just proof of proof of how little we have to say.

Production responds

Claes Leinstedt, producer at Mastiff who is responsible for Paradise Hotel, believes that their actions may have been a misjudgment, now they are waiting for what the internal investigation will show.

"If it turns out in the material that we have not followed our routines and processes in the way we should, we obviously take full responsibility for this as it must not happen that the participants' safety is endangered," he writes in a comment to Kulturnyheterna.

For the owners Nent, the events in the section were new tasks.

"When we now found out that this additional incident occurred during the recording, we took immediate action.

We picked down the entire season, contacted the participants and reported what happened to the police. ”, Writes Susanne Nylén, press manager at Nent.

Longer answers from the production can be read in a separate article.
