In the qualification examination for nursery teachers in Tokyo this month, it was found that a power outage occurred at one of the examination venues, and about 1,300 students at this venue could not take the examination.

It seems that a power outage occurred because someone fired a fire extinguisher in the building at the venue, and the city is considering a response.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, a test was held on April 17 to qualify as a childcare worker, but a power outage occurred at the test site in Shibuya Ward around 9:30 am before the start. ..

The power outage continued until the evening, so the exam at this venue was canceled and about 1,300 students at this venue were unable to take the exam.

According to the management company of the building at the venue, it seems that someone sprayed a fire extinguisher inside the building, causing the fire extinguishing agent to flow into the electrical equipment and causing a power outage, and the management company reported the damage to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The written test was held on that day, and successful applicants were scheduled to proceed to the practical test in July.

The city is considering conducting alternative exams, such as securing additional venues and recreating exam questions.
