A neurologist reveals the best position for sleeping

The question that arises for those who used to sleep on the left side is, does this way of sleeping harm one's health?

The answer, says cardiologist Germann Gandelman, is that the left-sided sleep habit isn't harmful.

And the doctor said on the Russian TV network:

The heart is located behind the wall made of ribs, so there is something that protects the heart.

This is why the heart cannot be subjected to any pressure whether you are lying on the right side or the left side.

In turn, the neurologist Evgeny Sokov revealed a harmful way to sleep, indicating that damage may be caused to your body when you sleep on your stomach.

When a person lies in a lying position on the abdomen, the arteries and veins of the neck responsible for transporting blood to the brain are damaged, due to the need for the head to tilt to the right or left.

This position also causes high pressure inside the abdomen, which can lead to edema.

Dr. Sokov believes that the prone position on the right side with the hands and legs slightly bent is the best position for the body during a night's sleep.
