The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare released a modified version of the new coronavirus contact confirmation app "COCOA" on the 21st due to the problem that notifications could not be automatically received on some terminals.

Regarding the contact confirmation application "COCOA", a problem was found before, and the application was fixed in February, but after that, it is regularly used on some terminals of Google's basic software "Android". We found a new bug where you wouldn't be notified automatically without a reboot.

In response to this, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and others released a modified version of the app on the 21st.

In the modified version, there is no need to restart, and once a day it is automatically checked for contact with people who are confirmed to be positive, and if there is contact, it will be notified. It means that there is.

On the other hand, according to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, if the Android device is set to a power saving mode to reduce battery consumption, notifications may be delayed or may not be received.

This can happen not only with COCOA but also with other apps in general, so the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is calling for confirmation of settings in addition to updating to the revised version.
