Ibaraki Prefecture and Mito City announced on the 21st that they have confirmed that 62 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture to 7,579.
This is the 10th consecutive day that the number of infected people has exceeded the same day of the previous week.
In addition, four of the confirmed infections by the 21st were found to have been infected with the mutated coronavirus.
