Friends Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer first appeared on the NBC television channel in 1989. In total, there were nine seasons, which are still broadcast and streamed on a large scale.

The kitchen crashes

In recent weeks, a detail from the series has received a lot of attention.

Users of the online forum Reddit have discovered a miss in Jerry Seinfeld's apartment, in the series located on the Upper West Side in New York.

With the help of a 3D drawing, it is shown that Seinfeld's bulging kitchen collides with the straight corridor that runs in the stairwell outside.

Both the kitchen and the corridor often appear in the series, not least when the character Kramer makes his classic storming entrance.

"Sad if the wall was completely flat"

But Fredrik Johansson, set designer and stage designer who built several studios for SVT programs, thinks that the Seinfeld production has done a good job after all.

- The most important thing with decor is to find depth and get a good image section.

Had the wall in the kitchen been completely flat, it would have been a much duller room.

The apartment has been built in a studio that is quite small, says Fredrik Johansson.

Then you sometimes have to thumb at the logic.

- The whole apartment is usually built in one piece.

Then you remove walls to access the camera.

I suspect that the angle between the front door and the kitchen has been moved.

It has certainly differed from time to time.
