France is expected to slowly relax its strict corona measures from the beginning of May. The movement restrictions are to be lifted on May 3rd, announced government spokesman Gabriel Attal on Wednesday after a government meeting chaired by President Emmanuel Macron. The plans would still be concretized. The first effects of the measures are noticeable, said Attal. "We could be at the peak or shortly before it," he said with a view to the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pressure on the hospitals is still extremely high.

Attal also confirmed that the reopening of the shops, some cultural institutions and outdoor areas of the restaurants could be scheduled for mid-May.

Macron had already promised this in his speech a few weeks ago.

However, Attal did not give an exact date.

He also made no promises to lift the evening curfew.

The Bremen Higher Administrative Court has temporarily suspended the mandatory mask requirement for primary school students at an incidence value of 100.

The regulation as to when this obligation applies is too vague.

In a decision on an urgent application, the court found that elementary school students and parents could not determine when the requirement was met.

This cannot be determined by interpretation either.
