They are called mules and they fly from Guyana to mainland France with, in their bodies, sometimes their luggage, kilos of cocaine in exchange for a few thousand euros.

Four tonnes of this drug would thus transit each year on flights between Guyana and Paris, or 20% of cocaine entries into mainland France.

In Guyana, the phenomenon is now known, but it is not easy to stop it because it feeds on the poverty of this French overseas region.
