On the first day, 164 companies of various types and locations were inspected, and 49 catering companies were found to have environmental problems.
From April 19 to April 23, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment selected the 8 low-ranking streets (townships) in the 8 districts of Chaoyang, Haidian, Shijingshan, Fangshan, Changping, Shunyi, Daxing, and Tongzhou to organize catering, Inspections on different topics such as gas stations.
The first day of the action focused on the catering industry. A total of 164 companies and spots were inspected, of which 133 were catering companies, and 49 catering companies had environmental problems.
Among them, 4 had no treatment facilities installed, 14 had oil fume treatment facilities not opened, 18 had abnormal operation problems such as pipeline running, dripping, filter replacement, and untimely cleaning of equipment, and 13 had irregular monitoring platforms .
In addition, 12 hazardous waste management problems in the dust, open-air barbecue, and auto repair industries were also found.
According to reports, this special action will focus on the current status of the city’s atmospheric environmental quality and lock key areas. According to the recent ranking of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and coarse particulate matter (TSP), eight districts (townships and towns) with the lower rankings will be selected. ) Carry out inspections.

Severely crack down on prominent illegal behaviors such as untreated direct emission of enterprise waste gas, construction site dust, and excessive emission of non-road mobile machinery.
The special action also innovated the inspection mode of "two levels of urban areas, and the areas under inspection intersect each other". The municipal ecological environment department led the team and transferred the ecological environment law enforcement personnel of the inspected areas to form 16 assistance agencies. The inspection team conducts cross-checks on the inspected areas, spurring the territories to further increase law enforcement.
In accordance with the "seven-step" procedure of inspection, appeal, transfer, rectification, feedback, re-inspection, and inspection, the problems found in the inspection shall be transferred to the subdistricts (townships), the local governments shall be urged to rectify and feedback on time, and interviews will be organized if the rectification is not effective.
