For safety reasons, Beibu Gulf Airlines decided to cancel the GX8814 flight that day.

  At 19:00 on the evening of April 16, the Beibu Gulf Airlines flight GX8814 Weifang-Guilin-Haikou found coins on the ground during the pre-departure inspection.

After questioning by the crew, Wang, a male passenger with seat number 36J, admitted that he threw 6 coins wrapped in red paper at the plane for the purpose of "praying for blessings" when boarding the plane, and then the relevant personnel recovered all 6 coins.

  Out of safety considerations, Beibu Gulf Airlines decided to cancel the GX8814 flight on the day, and after a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft's engine, it arranged a supplementary flight on the next day. The itinerary of 148 passengers was affected.
