After several heavy defections and internal quarrels, Bulletin is investing in recruiting profiles that can bring new life to the controversial news site.

The moderate Member of Parliament Hanif Bali, the artist and debater Alexander Bard and the former Social Democrat Member of Parliament Jan Emanuel Johansson will be given the task.

"In connection with the fact that we are now launching our paywall, we are very proud and happy to be able to welcome some of the absolute biggest profiles in Sweden to Bulletin's team," they write on Facebook in connection with the news.

Internal crisis

In February, it was discovered that the site Bulletin had plagiarized about twenty articles, then a conflict flared up between the company board and parts of the editorial staff.

Among other things, members of the editorial board have criticized the board, which they believe has tried to influence Bulletin's journalistic content.

At the end of March, six heavy writers announced that they were leaving the paper, including editor-in-chief Ivar Arpi and political editor-in-chief Alice Teodorescu Måwe.

In early April, Bulletin got a new, temporary editor-in-chief - Andrew Rosenthal, former editor of The New York Times' editorial page, who has been commissioned to make Bulletin a functioning news organization on an acting basis.
