　　Zhang Jinquan is 75 years old this year. He is a non-hereditary inheritor of peasant paintings in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. He has been creating peasant paintings for 21 years. Before that, his works won the National Peasant Painting Competition Excellence Award (the highest award in this field).

　　According to Zhang Jinquan, Xiuzhou's peasant paintings have unique and bold composition, wide-ranging themes, close to life and close to the times, reflecting the spirit of the local peasants who are striving to make progress.

　　This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Zhang Jinquan, who grew up next to Nanhu Lake, has been wondering how to use local peasant paintings to celebrate the centennial of the founding of the party.

　　"Peasant paintings reflect the people's feelings about the changes of the times, and I feel cordial when I see them. I think it is necessary for me to promote the red culture and make a little contribution to the general public as a successor of peasant paintings." Zhang Jinquan said.

　　Compared with past paintings of harvests and farmers in the fields, the subject matter this time is a big challenge for Zhang Jinquan.

　　"I have never studied party history systematically, and I am not highly educated. I am afraid that I will not be able to grasp it in the creative process." Zhang Jinquan said, "But I think about the historical martyrs who gave their lives for the revolution. I am out of my family, relatives and friends. This emotion touched me. I must make this painting."

　　After making up his mind, Zhang Jinquan spent a lot of time in the library to read relevant party history books, and made detailed records of the time, characters, background, and meaning involved in each important historical node. 1 yuan coin (RMB) The thick notebook is full of three books.

　　After careful consideration, he divided the painting into three chapters, showing 40 important historical nodes.

Then, based on historical data, I made peasant paintings specific to these historical moments. In order to achieve satisfactory results, each painting has undergone several overhauls and the manuscripts are also piled up on my balcony.
