The report stated that at about 9:04 on April 19, 2021, Jiangyou City Public Security Command Center received an alarm that a child was beaten in the surgical inpatient department of Jiangyou Fourth People's Hospital (Wudu).
After receiving the alarm, the command center immediately instructed the Wudu Police Station to deal with it. The police rushed to the scene and brought the suspect Zhang (male, 56 years old, from Jiangyou City) under control.

After investigation, Jiang (female, 50 years old, from Jiangyou City) and Zhang had a dispute while playing mahjong at the same table on the 17th, and Jiang was injured and hospitalized.
On the morning of the 19th, when Zhang went to the hospital to pay for Jiang’s medical expenses, there was a conflict again. Zhang picked up Jiang’s 3-year-old granddaughter and threw it to the ground, causing a skull injury.
Currently, the injured are being treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital, and their vital signs are relatively stable.
The criminal suspect Zhang has been criminally detained by the public security organs on suspicion of intentional homicide.
