An ex-police officer reportedly shot and killed three people in Austin, United States.

Austin's police chief Joseph Chacon said on Sunday that the 41-year-old alleged shooter was being wanted.

The suspect knew the three adult victims, it appears to be a "domestic incident".

Therefore, do not assume that the man will shoot people indiscriminately.

"That doesn't mean he's not dangerous."

The broadcaster KXAN reported that the suspect was released from the police force last year and arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child.

Then he was released on bail and quit his job.

In the search for the suspect, even hours later, the investigators could not report any success: on Monday night he was still on the run.

The crime joins the long list of fatal firearms incidents in the United States. Shots in a bar in the US state of Wisconsin only killed three people on Sunday night. On Thursday, a gunman killed eight people and then committed suicide at a parcel center in Indiana state. On March 22, a gunman killed ten people in a supermarket in the state of Colorado. A few days earlier, eight people were shot dead in three massage parlors in and around Atlanta, Georgia. After the gunfire attacks, the political debate about tougher legislation has flared up again.
