Inoculation of the new coronavirus vaccine to the elderly, which began on the 12th, revealed that the special elderly nursing home in Kyoto City had discarded the surplus vaccine for two consecutive days due to cancellations.

According to the city of Kyoto, the special elderly nursing home in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City was absent due to poor physical condition, etc. out of the 40 people scheduled on the 12th when the inoculation of residents started. It means that the vaccine was discarded.



Also, on the 13th of the second day, all the planned people were inoculated, but one vaccine was discarded too much.



According to the city, the facility explained that it was decided that urgent vaccination of unprepared people should be avoided in consideration of physical condition.



In response to this, the city of Kyoto is requesting facilities for the elderly to review the vaccination plan, such as deciding in advance who will receive the vaccine in case of surplus vaccine due to cancellation.
