A shocking study: the side effects of this vaccine are more than expected

New research from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that people who get vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine from Moderna may experience more side effects than those who got a vaccine from Pfizer.

The researchers collected data from December 2020 to February 2021 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's V-Safe surveillance system, which monitors and reports negative reactions to Covid-19 vaccines through self-report surveys, according to Fox9. And seen by "Al-Arabiya.net."

The data revealed that 75% of moderna vaccine recipients reported side effects after receiving a single dose of the vaccine, compared to 65% of Pfizer vaccine recipients, and side effects included pain at the injection site, fatigue and headache.

The researchers also noted that study participants accounted for less than 10% of the total number of people who received their first vaccine at the time of the study.

For their part, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials said that mild side effects are expected with getting a Corona vaccine and that the side effects are a natural sign that your body is building protection.

In addition to an arm infection, people can have a fever and some flu-like symptoms such as fatigue, aches, chills, or headaches.

The side effects last for about a day, and according to CDC officials, the reactions are a sign that the immune system is responding quickly.

This comes, as concerns began to escalate this week about the side effects of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which were not included in the study.

Health officials in Georgia have temporarily stopped vaccinations with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at one site in the north of the state after 8 people experienced "negative reactions" on Wednesday.

At least three other states - North Carolina, Iowa, and Colorado - have also reported negative reactions from people who have received the J&J vaccine at some locations.
