After more than 4 years of arduous construction by China Railway 11th Bureau Group, the 5506-meter-long Gaojiaping Tunnel of Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High-speed Railway was officially opened on April 12.
The tunnel is one of the most complex karst high-risk tunnels in China. Its construction process has created a demonstration project of mechanized and intelligent construction of China's high-speed railway tunnels.
The Gaojiaping Tunnel of Zhengwan High-speed Railway is located in Nanzhang County, Xiangyang City, Hubei. The surface of the cave body has developed karst depressions, sinkholes, and dissolution trenches. The rock mass is broken, and there are many caves and dissolution cracks in the limestone section, which are very easy to occur. Geological disasters such as water bursting and mud bursting.
At the same time, there is gas in the tunnel, which is extremely difficult to construct. It is not only one of the high-risk tunnels on the Zhengwan high-speed rail line, but also the most difficult and difficult control project on the whole line, and it is also the most complicated karst tunnel in China.
The Zhengzhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway has a total length of 818 kilometers. It starts in Zhengzhou, Henan, passes through Xiangyang, Shennongjia, Yichang, Enshi and other places in Hubei, and ends in Wanzhou District of Chongqing.
At the same time, it is also a fast high-speed passage connecting the Central Plains, Central China and Southwest China. After the completion of the opening to traffic, it will be connected to the Beijing-Guangzhou, Longhai, Lanyu and other major railway passages, which will greatly shorten the Chongqing, Western Hubei, and Three Gorges reservoir areas with the southwest and northwest , Central China, North China and other places, to further improve the rapid railway network in central and southwest China, greatly facilitate the travel of people along the line, promote the development of tourism resources in the Three Gorges, and promote the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is of great significance.
The Zhengzhou-Wanzhou high-speed rail is planned to be completed and opened to traffic next year. By then, the status of the high-speed rail hub in Xiangyang, Hubei will be further improved, and it can reach Chongqing and Zhengzhou within 2 hours.
