Following the death of two men who were being treated at accommodations and at home after being infected with the new coronavirus in Kanagawa Prefecture, the committee that was verifying the prefecture's response will need patients undergoing medical treatment in the future. We have compiled a report stating that we should create a system that allows us to see a doctor accordingly.

In Kanagawa Prefecture, a man in his 50s who was receiving medical treatment at a hotel prepared by the prefecture died last December, and in January, a man in his 60s in Yokohama City died during medical treatment at home.

A third-party committee, which was considering the prefecture's response, released a report on the 13th, pointing out that the response was delayed because no unified rules were set for sudden changes in the condition.

In addition, in the future, in order to understand the condition of patients undergoing medical treatment, it is necessary to create a mechanism that allows doctors to visit and patients to receive outpatient examinations as needed.

In addition, people living alone are requested to consider getting medical treatment at the accommodation rather than at home, and installing a means of communication such as a nurse call at the accommodation.

The prefecture will receive the report and proceed with the response one by one.
