The filmmaker Michel Gondry, who notably directed "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "L'Ecume des jours", put in images "La chanson de Prévert" by Serge Gainsbourg.

The animated mini-film will be available on Youtube from late Tuesday afternoon.

In the meantime, he explained his approach at the microphone of Europe 1.

It is the meeting of three poets.

Michel Gondry takes over

La chanson de Prévert

signed Serge Gainsbourg and brilliantly adapted from a text by the eponymous poet.

The director, notably of

L'Ecume des jours, will

unveil a new animated short on Tuesday evening featuring the title of Serge Gainsbourg.

He agreed to reveal some details at the microphone of Europe 1.

"A slightly childish Prévert and a very nostalgic Gainsbourg"

"It's a magnificent song," exclaims Michel Gondry.

The filmmaker has produced an animated mini-film to pay tribute to the texts of the poet Jacques Prévert and the singer Serge Gainsbourg.

In

The song of Prévert

, "there are two levels", he affirms "There is Prévert, a little childish and Gainsbourg who uses that for a very negative feeling, very nostalgic", continues the director.

So to interweave the poetry of these 20th century figures, Michel Gondry imagined "the path of a small dead leaf".

She "walks in different settings and each time she touches an object or an animal, it ages in accelerated mode", explains the director.

The animation "gets over the hard side"

Through this short film, the filmmaker wishes to rediscover this nostalgia that we find in Gainsbourg's voice.

“It's not happy!” He says.

But he also wishes to keep Jacques Prévert's grain of madness, through the animation which "makes the side a little harsh".

A format that he knows well since he very often creates them for… his daughter.

"She gives me insane titles. I find stories, I animate them and then I send her", concludes the director.

The clip will be available in its entirety this Tuesday evening at 6 p.m.
