His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, inaugurated the House of Craftsmen in Al Hosn, the permanent exhibition to celebrate craftsmen and honor their contributions.

The launch of the Craftsmen House and its initiatives aims to stimulate and support the efforts of local artisans and promote their products, in addition to protecting intangible heritage, and preserving traditional crafts and practices as an important part of the Emirati identity.

His Highness was briefed on the initiative of the Abu Dhabi Electronic Crafts platform, and the Abu Dhabi Artisan Registry project.

The "House of Craftsmen" is part of the broader strategic plan that the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi is working to achieve, through which it narrates the history and culture of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in new, interesting and attractive ways.

The "House of Craftsmen" allows visitors to learn about traditional products, including the materials and skills required to produce them, in addition to getting acquainted with contemporary art by emerging Emirati artists, to present works inspired by traditional crafts.
