The list shows that in the country distribution of scholars on the list, the United States has an absolute advantage, reaching 1159, accounting for 57.95%.

China ranks second in terms of the number of scholars, with 225 person-times, accounting for 11.25%.

Tsinghua University is the only domestic institution on the list.

Through the analysis of the research heat trend of AI 2000 countries, it can be found that the current top ten countries are: China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, France, Italy, Australia, and South Korea.

From the perspective of overall popularity, the United States has a leading advantage in the early stage and has always maintained the highest popularity. China's research fever has surpassed the United States in recent years.

In terms of the gender ratio of scholars on the AI 2000 list, the gap is still very obvious, with men occupying the majority in all fields.

Among them, the proportion of male scholars in the field of machine learning is the highest, reaching 97%, and the proportion of female scholars in the field of human-computer interaction is the highest, but only 28% of the field.

It is reported that the AI 2000 list was jointly released by Aminer of Tsinghua University, Beijing Zhiyuan Research Institute, and Tsinghua-Chinese Academy of Engineering Knowledge Intelligence Joint Research Center, aiming to select the most influential artificial intelligence disciplines in the past 10 years through Aminer academic data globally. , The most dynamic top scholar.

By tracking the papers published by scholars in the field of artificial intelligence from 2010 to 2020, computer algorithms are used to automatically generate rankings.

Professor Tang Jie from the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University said that in order to more intuitively reflect academic influence, AI 2000 selects scholars mainly based on the citations of scholars in top conferences and journals in the past 10 years, rather than the number of papers.

In the selection process for this year's list, the AMiner team tracked about 200,000 scholars around the world, referred to 49 top conferences and journals, and screened 170,000 papers.
