Four days later, reflecting the Emirati community's passion for arts, and the development of the creative scene in Dubai, the World Art Fair Dubai, its seventh edition, concluded the day before yesterday, at the Dubai World Trade Center.

The leading exhibition in the Middle East region by presenting artistic innovations at affordable prices witnessed great success in terms of sales and participation rates, as it attracted more than 250 artists and galleries from 27 countries to showcase more than 2000 pieces of art from various media, such as cloth, sculptures, street art and digital art. And others.

"Arts of the World Dubai" brought together creators and visitors from the region and the world. They emphasized that Dubai brings cultures together and innovators an exceptional platform for exchanging knowledge, experience and passion under the slogan of "discovering new perspectives."

For her part, artist Jehan C., who sold 30 pieces of art during the first three days of the exhibition, said: “I participated in last year's edition of (World Arts Dubai), and achieved success in both versions, and the most important thing that distinguishes the exhibition in my view is the opportunity. That it provides artists to showcase their work to an audience of such importance, as well as to succeed in achieving sales. ”

"I have succeeded in selling a variety of art pieces, such as book dividers, table sculptures, and even large wall paintings," she added.

All in all, by the end of the third day of the exhibition, it had sold up to 30 pieces and artworks.

Jihan continued: “I think that the most important thing in the exhibition is its emphasis on the importance of preserving history and architecture, so that people can communicate and bring cultures closer together.

Strict procedures

The exhibition was keen to adhere to strict health and safety measures to protect all visitors and exhibitors.

The success of this year's events reflects the evolution of the art scene in Dubai, providing a key platform for the artistic community to thrive in the emirate.

Moza Al Mansoori, the Emirati abstraction artist, was a hit with this year's edition of the exhibition.

The artist, coming from Abu Dhabi, described the exhibition as the perfect platform to review artworks and enhance the artist’s self-confidence, adding, “My participation in the seventh edition of (Art of the World Dubai) was very successful, both in terms of sales or in terms of introducing the public to my work and enhancing my artistic confidence.

It is also a great way to interact with other artists and see their creativity.

"Our artworks are small in size, which makes visitors forced to approach them more, so that more intricate artistic details are revealed in front of them in the paintings, which is wonderful," Moza explained.

Renewable activities

The new and renewed activities of the exhibition proved to be very popular among visitors, as they met distinct levels of turnout.

One of the most prominent events is the Urban Art Exhibition Dubai, which is an area devoted to graffiti and street art, whose competitions and artworks have received great attention, including prints and drawing on canvas, among others.

Curated by Louis Wright of Vandalist Art, a Dubai street art gallery, the area featured works by Al Satwa 3000, George Rollo, Majid Ahmed, and others.

Sheba Khan, founder of Art Gallery, has participated in 'Art of the World Dubai' since 2016, and has expanded her exhibition attendance from one stand to four in 2021.

In her fourth participation, award-winning contemporary Russian artist, Julia Smolenkova, sold 15 pieces and artworks during the first three days of the exhibition.

She said: “I love (Dubai Arts), as it is a unique opportunity for creative people to meet artistic enthusiasts and collectors.

This is my fourth participation in the exhibition, and I am pleased to sell 15 artworks during the first three days of this year's edition.

I would like to acknowledge the efforts that the World Arts Dubai team is making to build a wonderful and very positive global art community. ”

She described the exhibition as “an important platform in the art scene of the UAE.

Art enthusiasts and collectors can buy many of the creations of young people who are still at the beginning of their careers. It is also a great investment that gives artists an opportunity to present their art to a large international audience.

Direct offers

Over the course of its four days, visitors to the World Art Gallery Dubai enjoyed a series of live performances, including the Segin Gopinathan show, which re-draws the features of one of the Mini Cooper cars, the Indian Rangoli show by Prachi Sharma, the live spray painting by Dina Saadi, and the preparation of a work of art with coffee from the comfort of Coffee Art, with live performances from Melodica Institute of Music and Dance, Dubai.

On her part, Prachi Sharma, artist of Indian rangoli, said: “It is my first participation in (Art of the World Dubai), and my direct artistic presentation was excellent, as the audience admired my work, and did not believe it was made of rangoli, and I consider the exhibition a truly wonderful experience.”

Free charge in 10 minutes

Art workshops provided professionals and hobbyists of all ages with an opportunity to develop their skills, most notably Nikon landscape photography sessions, making flower crowns with Russian artist Valentina Alexievna, and drawing lessons for children with Lina Kyulani.

Egyptian artist Mahmoud Safwat was present to offer visitors free cartoons in 10 minutes.

The exhibition attracted more visitors to its dedicated area for digital art, with the Theater of Digital Art show, which took viewers on a digital journey that mixes advanced technologies with classic art and visual effects, and the INCOPIA show, which uses virtual reality techniques to provide magnetic copies of desired images, in addition to To showcase amazing digital art from Samsung.

The Ai Norn project achieved success in its first regional launch, as robotic art relied on artificial intelligence to analyze and reshape images according to distinctive paintings.

250 artists and galleries from 27 countries displayed more than 2,000 pieces during the exhibition.
