A racist joke that doesn't get through.

Télématin

apologized on Sunday on Twitter after a questionable pun from its presenter, journalist Laurent Bignolas, during his show on Saturday, April 10.

“Dear Sadeck Waff, dear viewers, begins the tweet.

We sincerely apologize for these totally inappropriate and unintentionally hurtful words.

They in no way reflect the respect we have for your work, the one we wanted to highlight yesterday.

"

On Saturday's show, Julia Livage highlighted the work of French choreographer of Algerian origin Sadeck Waff.

The latter works on tutting, a dance inspired by the aggregations of "starlings, a phenomenon observable throughout Europe from November to February," explains the columnist.

"All those who are used to stealing from department stores"

The video that followed showed 64 dancers transcribing the synchronized flight of the birds.

After the choreography has been broadcast, the host Laurent Bignolas comments: “It's a good idea.

For all those who are used to stealing in department stores and since they are closed, you might as well do choreography.

»Embarrassing moment on the set.

“No, but it's beautiful.

I find it magnificent.

What's the matter ?

Did I say something stupid ?

», Then asks the presenter.
