The man, who heads AS Bellecour-Perrache is suspected of having raped a 16-year-old teenager from Guinea and a resident of the club.
The facts would have taken place on July 19, 2019, the evening of the broadcast of the final of the African Cup of Nations won by Algeria against Senegal.
The victim, who lives in a hostel, had indicated having been raped on the premises of the club.
The suspect was also indicted for having consulted child pornography sites between 2015 and 2019, specifies the prosecution quoted by

Placed under judicial supervision, he is prohibited from exercising any activity in contact with minors.
The president was heard Thursday by the investigating judge but continues to claim his innocence.
