Okinawa Prefecture, where the "priority measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus" will be applied from the beginning of the week, will hold a meeting of the countermeasures headquarters, target nine cities on the main island of Okinawa, and then go out unnecessarily and urgently throughout the prefecture. I decided to ask for self-restraint from moving.

Okinawa Prefecture held a countermeasures headquarters meeting from around 5:30 pm on the 10th, and decided on countermeasures during the period of priority measures from the 12th of this month to the 5th of next month.

The target areas are Naha City, Okinawa City, Uruma City, Urasoe City, Ginowan City, Tomigusuku City, Nago City, Itoman City, and Nanjo City.

In these target areas, we request restaurants to serve alcoholic beverages by 7:00 pm and shorten business hours by 8:00 pm.

If you do not respond to the request in the target area, you can order it, and a business operator who does not respond without a justifiable reason may be punished with a fine of 200,000 yen or less.

On the other hand, although there are no penalties, all municipalities in the prefecture, other than the target area, are also required to shorten the business hours until 8 pm.

During the period, Okinawa Prefecture will visit all restaurants in the prefecture for guidance.

In addition, we are requesting the citizens of the prefecture to refrain from going out and moving unnecessarily, and to refrain from unnecessarily urgent traffic to and from outside the prefecture and remote islands.

Governor Tamaki of Okinawa Prefecture expressed a strong sense of crisis at a press conference, saying, "Mutant strains have been confirmed one after another in the prefecture, and we are entering an important phase where we can no longer afford a momentary grace."

On the other hand, regarding visits from outside the prefecture, he said, "I think that each prefecture has a policy for travel and homecoming, so I would like you to follow that policy."
