The State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference on the afternoon of April 11. Wang Huaqing, chief expert of the China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s immunization program, said at the meeting that some young women developed headaches, nausea and other symptoms after being vaccinated. As a result, according to the results of the adverse reaction monitoring after the vaccine is launched, most of the systemic reactions are general reactions and do not require special treatment. If the condition worsens or is deemed necessary, seek medical treatment in time.

Wang Huaqing emphasized that because the vaccinated population is mainly 18-59 years old, there are some women in it.

According to the current surveillance, there are still a few individuals in this population who have a psychogenic reaction. Why do they have a psychogenic reaction? This may be related to stress or psychological anxiety before vaccination, during vaccination, or after vaccination. Certainly, this leads to psychogenic reactions.

Therefore, during the vaccination process, everyone thinks that it is an ordinary injection, and there is no need to be overly anxious. It is necessary to vaccinate the vaccine with a relaxed attitude, which will greatly reduce the occurrence of psychogenic reactions.
