In Kudoyama Town, a mountain town in the northern part of Wakayama Prefecture, the annual "Nyu River Passing" has begun, with about 100 carp streamers swimming over the river.

"Nyukawa Watari" in Kudoyama Town is held every year by local business and industry associations in hopes of the healthy growth of children and the revitalization of the region.

On the 11th, members of the Chamber of Commerce gathered on the Nyukawa River, which runs through the town, and handed two ropes to both banks of the river, which is about 100 meters long. I connected it to the rope.

Then, as the rope was pulled slowly, about 100 colorful carp streamers were flying in the sky in the wind.

Parents and children who visited the tour said, "It's very beautiful. It's going to be a fun day today. I was impressed by the handmade carp streamers."

Carp streamer means to swim on the river until Children's Day, the 5th of next month.
