Gifu Prefecture and Gifu City have announced that 23 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in Gifu Prefecture to 5008.
It also announced that it was confirmed that four new people were infected with the mutated virus.
According to the prefecture's announcement, 81 people have been confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus in Gifu prefecture.
