An example taken up in the debate is the French director Roman Polanski, who was accused of having sex with a minor in the 70s.

During metoo, criticism of him was given new life, and protests were held against him being given space and prizes.

Here in Sweden, too, the metoo movement provoked discussions about who is given space and praise in the culture.

But now that rapper Yasin has received awards at the P3 Gold Gala - at the same time as he is suspected of serious crimes - many cultural writers agree that one must distinguish between work and person. Several debaters are now reacting to what they believe are double standards in the debate, including Lisa Irenius, cultural director at Svenska Dagbladet.
