Today we are talking about uterine fibroids.
Also called myomas, these are benign tumors that develop in the wall of the uterus.
Often asymptomatic, they can cause pain, heavy periods and impaired fertility in some women.
They concern 20% to 50% of women over 30 and their frequency increases with age, in premenopausal women.
