Gifu Prefecture and Gifu City have announced that 24 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
It is the first time that more than 20 people have been infected each day announced since the state of emergency was lifted on February 28.
A total of 4985 people have been confirmed to be infected in Gifu prefecture.
In addition, Gifu Prefecture announced that it was confirmed that 10 of the people who had been confirmed to be infected so far were infected with the mutated virus.
