WORLD:

Prof. Fischer, in a children's book by Janosch, a talking frog kisses a silent tiger duck.

A German feminist thinks that this is not suitable for children, since sexual acts are carried out on a silent figure.

What do you think?

Thomas Fischer:

This statement misses the point of what it claims to be speaking about so blatantly that I really can't think of anything.

WORLD:

Speaking of fiction: Sex and Crime - the title of your book suggests fiction rather than facts.

Is criminal practice straying from the facts?

Fischer:

Yes.

Criminal justice policy deals with reality in a very special way, reinterpreting it as it would like it to be and then fighting it as it would like it.

According to a new law passed by the Bundestag, very minor acts of abuse will soon also be considered a crime, allegedly to deter potential perpetrators.

Human history teaches that this has not worked for thousands of years.

People just keep committing crimes.
