"Little girl, is the doctor here?"

"I am the doctor, why are you uncomfortable?"

"Can the little girl be sick?"

In the past seven years, in the Qu'e Town Health Center of the Daning County Medical Group in Linfen City, Shanxi Province, the little girl who was questioned as "too young" has become a skilled little Zhou doctor in the eyes of everyone.

Zhou Juan is 36 years old this year. Although she has a disability, she has realized her "white clothes dream" step by step with perseverance.

Rooted deep in the mountains, she is willing to do her best to protect the health of the folks.

She bravely responded to the sudden misfortune

When Zhou Juan was 4 years old, due to sugarcane poisoning, her lower limbs were dysfunctional. Her parents sought medical advice and spent money to save her money. The strange disease was not cured. She could no longer walk normally.

Zhou Juan's grandfather is an old Chinese medicine doctor, who sees doctors and collects medicine for the villagers every day.

During those gloomy days, the sound of her grandfather's smashing medicine accompanied her. She wanted to "stand up" again, strive to become a good doctor, and use her own strength to help people who are in trouble like her.

In 2005, Zhou Juan became a medical student, focusing on the study of western medicine theory, and was admitted to the Shanxi Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine to continue her studies in Chinese medicine.

After "crossing boundaries", she could only start from the beginning, overcoming the difficulties with the difficult to memorize square songs and the obscure ancient books, and she became more and more obsessed with Chinese medicine.

With great love, she takes root in the mountains

In 2014, Zhou Juan, a graduate student, returned to Daning County and plunged into the remote mountains. “I grew up here, knowing that people in mountainous areas have difficulty seeking medical care.”

When Zhou Juan first arrived at the Qu'e Town Health Center, the dilapidated house had very poor lighting, almost no large-scale inspection equipment, inadequate medicines, and few patients came to see her. She was often "scared" away by her young doctor, always worried about her. He is young and can't see a doctor, so he spends money in vain.

Zhou Juan was a bit sad when she was not trusted and repeatedly hit, but she could understand the patient's thoughts.

"Everyone thinks that the older the TCM doctor, the more experienced it is, and it is normal that I cannot accept me at the moment." She realized that having the ability is the last word, so she used her break time to learn medical knowledge and expand her knowledge through multiple channels.

"In the village, it is normal for minor illnesses to be delayed and serious illnesses to bear. It is very important to raise the villagers' health awareness." For this reason, Zhou Juan overcomes physical difficulties and actively cooperates with the health center to go to the countryside for free consultation.

Waiting in the clinic, I went door to door to promote it.

In the meantime, Zhou Juan measured the blood pressure of an old man in his 70s. “The high pressure has reached more than 200, so he doesn’t take it seriously.” Under Zhou Juan’s supervision, the old man took medicine on time, and his blood pressure was kept within the normal range. .

Every time the free consultation is too long, Zhou Juan’s legs will be abnormally swollen and walking more difficult, but for her, it is the most gratifying thing for her villagers to improve their awareness of disease prevention and master health care knowledge.

Stick to her original intentions and move forward with her dreams

Zhou Juan's reputation is getting bigger and bigger, and the villagers no longer call her "Huangmao Girl" and change her name to "Little Zhou Doctor". She will always think of her when she is unwell.

In recent years, with the support of national policies, local health centers have improved medical conditions, equipped with ventilators, color Doppler ultrasound machines and other medical equipment, as well as stocks of medicines.

Zhou Juan said that the villagers have more convenient medical treatment and higher health requirements. “To be a good grassroots doctor, you must become a'general practitioner'.” To this end, she participated in training everywhere to continuously update and consolidate the professional knowledge base. .

Right now, Zhou Juan, who is participating in the training, is still thinking about one thing.

In the free clinic, she met a elder sister who suffered from cerebral infarction, who used a wheelchair to travel.

"Her wheelchair is very old, and her husband has trouble pushing her, but there is no money to replace it. I helped my eldest sister apply for a new wheelchair from the County Disabled Persons' Federation, and it has now been approved." Zhou Juan said, "I will give it as soon as the training is over. Sister sent it over, she will definitely be very happy." (End)
