“Roskomnadzor has once again demanded that the Facebook and Twitter administrations provide data on the localization of databases of Russian users in Russia.

The Office sent a similar request to Google.

If there is no answer, the issue of bringing foreign companies to justice for violation of Russian legislation will be resolved, ”the press service said.

At the same time, Roskomnadzor added that Twitter did not pay a fine of 4 million rubles for failure to provide information on the localization of databases of Russian users in Russia.

“In 2020, the court fined Twitter and Facebook - 4 million rubles each.

To date, the Twitter administration has not paid the fine.

Facebook paid the fine, ”the department noted.

Earlier, Roskomnadzor recommended that all users in Russia switch to Russian Zoom counterparts.
