It is not surprising that Sánchez enters the campaign trying to sign up for the arrival of vaccines as if they depended on him.
When the management of the pandemic effectively depended on him, in the months of the first wave and the sole command, he
failed with a crash in the acquisition of medical supplies
, while the virus was rampant after the Government ignored the alerts that came from Italy for ideological reasons such as the celebration of 8-M.

Aware of the wear and tear caused by its insolvency, instead of trying to improve management by opening it up to technical audits and independent committees,
chose to abandon responsibility in the hands of the autonomies
as soon as the second wave came to deny his vaunted victory over the virus last summer.

Sánchez reserved his public appearances for the good news
, even though the imminence with which he announced them was revealed to be false: the distribution of European funds and the vaccination plan.
Neither of the two initiatives came from him but from the European Union.

With the 4-M on the horizon, Sánchez reappears
to rule out the extension of the alarm not because of conviction but because of parliamentary weakness and electoral inopportunity, to pour out threats against Ayuso to rescue Gabilondo and to promise mass vaccination that has been stagnant for months.
First set the June deadline and now
postpones it until the end of August
By the time he assures that 70% of Spaniards will have been vaccinated in the hope that Madrid voters will believe him.
Nevertheless,
the vaccination plan promised by the Prime Minister compromises the summer
both employers and workers, because it will be almost impossible for them to meet their schedule.
The summer tourist campaign is therefore still in the air, although it is expected that the advance of immunization will allow a significant number of nationals and foreigners to travel and thus save
at least part of the campaign
.
Spain comes from losing a million visitors and 4,000 million euros each month: in the quarter that ends, tourist activity has plummeted by 80%.
The number of workers in a real situation of unemployment, including the ERTE, exceeds five million.
That the Spanish economy improves its rebound forecasts only means that previously it fell more than any.
Among the unemployed, civil servants and pensioners, about 17 million Spaniards today live in the State:
an unsustainable proportion
.
With the debt and deficit out of control, there will be no recovery without the far-reaching reforms that Europe demands and which go in the opposite direction to government demagoguery.
Vaccination is therefore a matter of life and death, but also the only effective antidote to financial ruin.
What is ridiculous is that Sánchez, whose health management has been characterized first by disastrous negligence and then by inexplicable inhibition, is now trying to include vaccines in his partisan propaganda when
it is the autonomies that administer how, when and where they vaccinate Spaniards.
As long as there is a dose, of course.
