[Look at China along the highway] Zero breakthrough!

Hujia Expressway opens a new chapter of expressways in mainland China

On April 6th, the China-themed promotional activity along the expressway was officially launched.

In 1988, the Shanghai-Jiamen Expressway, the first expressway in mainland China, was opened to traffic in Shanghai, achieving a breakthrough of zero expressway mileage.

Since then, Shanghai and even the whole country have opened the curtain of highway construction.

In order to improve traffic conditions, on December 14, 1984, the preliminary design documents of the Shanghai-Jiamen Expressway were approved, and the construction was carried out in accordance with the standard of 120 kilometers per hour. The whole line starts from Qilianshan Road in the south to the south gate of Jiading in the north, with a total length of 20.5. Kilometers.

A week later, the first highway in mainland China officially broke ground in Jiading, Shanghai.

After four full years of hard work, on October 31, 1988, the Shanghai-Jiamen Expressway, which has gathered the hard work and sweat of countless people, was officially opened to traffic.

The previous two-hour drive was shortened to just half an hour, not only the speed of the car, but also the pace of development of Shanghai and the cities along the expressway.
