More than 10 hectares already covered.

A major fire broke out this Tuesday afternoon in the town of Auriol, in the Bouches-du-Rhône.

According to an initial count made by the firefighters, more than 10 hectares of vegetation have already burned.

Around 100 firefighters are currently on site, supported by Dash and Canadair type planes.

The firefighters of Bouches-du-Rhône are awaiting reinforcements from their colleague from the Var, as well as from the battalion of marine firefighters from Marseille.

The firefighters recall that the use of fire remains prohibited during windy episodes, while gusts of more than 100 km / h have been recorded in the region.
