[Rural Revitalization] Grassland "New Herdsmen": Building a New Type of Mechanized Pasture

[Explanation] Living in a natural grassland landscape room, a 5-hour flexible working system, and making some hand-made small inventions in your spare time... these are the normal life for the "post-80s" herder Eriwamu.

And what supports his comfortable life is a mechanized pasture called "Golden Saddle Family Ranch".

Located in Zhenglan Banner, Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The reporter recently visited this mechanized pasture under the leadership of this "new herder".

Here are my own machinery, such as the harvesting, bundling, and transportation of forage, all of which are basically all now.

That is the hay rake. These two are used for cutting grass. This is the hay baler, (that is) the round charter. If (used) this round charter, the transportation cost is particularly low, which is a percentage of the normal value. With a cost of about ten, you can get those pastures back.

As before, the transportation cost and labor are relatively expensive. Now it has been two years (using this). The transportation cost is extremely low. Basically, you can use the machinery. Two people can do the work of four or five people.

And the efficiency is particularly good.

It turned out that the work of more than ten days can be finished in one and a half to two days.

Then, like this trailer, this trailer is also specially customized, with a balance shaft and a wide platform, so the protection of the pasture is particularly good. Just pull a piece of autumn grass, and there is basically no rut on the pasture.

[Explanation] Eri Hemu told reporters that during the livestock production season, he will provide agricultural machinery services to the surrounding herdsmen, which can not only make the equipment run, but also have an extra income.

In Eri Hemu's view, the significance of modern mechanized pastures to herders is self-evident.

Today, more than 3,000 acres of grassland and more than a hundred cows are managed by him alone. His lover works in nearby towns, his daughter goes to kindergarten, and his parents go to the city to enjoy their old age.

Now it is a day, five to six hours of labor, and these five or six hours are not particularly busy, anyway, I just wandered (finished), and I finished the work in five or six hours.

If you have more leisure time, you can do a little bit, what you like to do (things).

[Explanation] In fact, the "leisure" of Eri Hemu is also inseparable from the ranch, designing cattle pens, transforming outdoor green storage cellars, and even inventing some practical gadgets... In Eri Hemu's workshop, from There are various types of wrenches to all kinds of power tools.

Here, he tinkered with a lot of small tools to improve the efficiency of the ranch, and posted the usage method in the circle of friends.

Many herders from the surrounding areas come here admiringly and place orders to buy them.

[Explanation] Livestock is the focus of work in this ranch.

Eri Hemu has made many changes to the cattle pens to improve work efficiency and at the same time to keep the cows safe in summer, and to deliver the calves at a suitable temperature in winter to ensure the survival rate of the calves.

In order to cultivate feelings and make the calves get closer to people in the future, Eri and Mu will take time to groom them every day.

[Explanation] When visiting the local area, the reporter found that the grassland ecological management has caused herdsmen to reduce the number of livestock. The labor-saving and efficient mechanized pastures such as Erihemu provide new options for the development of grassland husbandry.

Eri Hemu told reporters that he intends to be a herdsman for a lifetime on the Zhenglan Banner Grassland. He has many plans for the future, and he is coming step by step.

In the next step, I also have the same idea, which is to (make) electronic files, to (carry out) electronic management of cows, like cow's ID cards, I want to do this thing slowly in the next step.
