Recently, on the top of the hill of Paotong Village, a wine town in Fuling District, Chongqing, a 1,000-step cliff staircase was officially opened for operation.

The reporter saw that these stairs are steel-steel structures, and each step of the stairs is of non-slip design. The entire structure of the ladder is built against the cliff and fixed to the large column in the middle in a spiral shape, with guardrails around it.

The ladder rotates more than 4,500 degrees from bottom to top around the cylinder, and there are more than 1,000 stairs.

It is understood that in addition to giving visitors an experience, this section of stairs also provides convenience to more than 2,000 villagers in Paotong Village.

Below the stairs is a piece of land that is being reclaimed, which will be used to grow wine grapes and crops. In the past, villagers had to walk close to the winding mountain road for an hour to go downhill to plant land. Now the journey has been shortened to less than ten minutes.

"With this ladder, it is convenient for villagers to go down the mountain to sell soil goods and farm land." The villagers said.
