In order to strengthen border measures for the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to require new arrivals from three countries and regions, including Spain, to wait at accommodation facilities.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare inspected 26 countries, including Europe and Africa, where the mutant virus is endemic, three days later after having local visitors wait at accommodations secured by the quarantine station. Even if it is negative, we are requesting that you wait at home for 14 days.

In addition, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to include people entering from Spain and Finland, where the mutant virus epidemic has been confirmed, and Ontario, Canada, after midnight on the 9th of this month.

This brings the total number of countries and regions covered by border measures to 29.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has a policy of strengthening border measures as well if an epidemic is confirmed in other countries or regions.
