According to a Reuters report on April 5, on April 4 local time, a ferry carrying about 50 passengers in Bangladesh collided with a freighter, causing at least 26 deaths and many others missing.

  At present, 21 bodies have been salvaged.

According to local officials, most of the bodies were found inside the ferry after being dragged ashore.

  According to reports, the collision occurred on the Shitalakhsyaa River in the south of the capital Dhaka.

Police officer Kabir Hussein stated that at the time of the incident, the ferry was sailing from Narayangan, about 20 kilometers away from Dhaka, towards Monshiganj.
