Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and at its new location in the "Dubai International Financial Center", the (Art Dubai) exhibition has once again confirmed the emirate's position as a global destination for culture and arts and its ability to withstand in Face the challenges.

The event received wide international acclaim due to its contribution to emphasizing the importance of personal attendance to savor the arts, its outstanding support for the artistic community and providing a safe platform for the public and participants alike.


The exhibition received an elite of dignitaries, including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence who opened the exhibition, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid, Head of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Humanitarian and Scientific Foundation”, Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, Saif Ghobash, General Director - Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and Zaki Nusseibeh Cultural Counselor to His Highness the President of the State.


The exhibition lasted for 6 days from March 29 until April 3 and implemented a number of innovative initiatives to ensure the safety of more than 18,000 visitors who came to enjoy the event, as tickets were sold out in full before the opening of its first day dedicated to the public.

These initiatives included a new ticketing system to contribute to the implementation of social distancing measures, a remote participation program to enable exhibitions unable to come to Dubai to attend the exhibition, and a new payment model to help exhibitions participate.


The participating art exhibitions witnessed excellent sales throughout the week, and many of the exhibited works joined private groups and international institutions, while many others are still in the negotiation stage.


William Lowry, of the Lowry Youth Gallery in Dubai, said: “The (Art Dubai) team has succeeded in organizing an impressive exhibition of all standards, in a period when many parts of the world are suffering from stalemate.

We were amazed at the number of art collectors coming from all over the world despite travel restrictions and challenges. The exhibition was overflowing with positive energy throughout its days, accompanied by great enthusiasm and great sales.


On her part, Victoria Cook, Director of the 1957 Gallery in Ghana, said: “The exhibition (Art Dubai) played a pivotal role in promoting positive feelings and confidence among the artistic community, and it also provided us with the opportunity to sell a number of artworks to major art collectors and introduce our exhibition in the region that We attach continued importance.

In addition, the exhibition emphasized to everyone the importance of personal relationships in art markets.


“We are delighted to return to the atmosphere of (Art Dubai) after a five-year absence, and to witness the remarkable success that the event achieved at various levels,” said Maemiti Cazales, senior director of the exhibition “Nathalie Abida Gallery”.

We managed to sell artworks to all the artists whose works we displayed in our stand, and were amazed by the levels of visitors who attended the exhibition.
