On the 3rd, Zhujia Garden, a well-known scenic spot in Jianshui County, Yunnan Province was crowded with tourists.

This is the first stop of Kunming citizen Li Qingchuan's family during the Ching Ming Festival holiday.

"I anticipated that there would be a traffic jam on the first day of the holiday, so I chose to take the intercity train. What I didn't expect was that when I arrived at Kunming Station at 7 am, there were already long queues of passengers entering the station, and there were almost no trains. Empty seats." Li Qingchuan said.

China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. stated that during the Ching Ming holiday this year, the passenger flow of Yunnan railway will be mainly short- and medium-distance passenger flows such as suburban tourism, outings, family visits, grave sweeping, and compensatory return homes within the province.

During the holiday, Yunnan Railway is expected to send 977,000 passengers.

Approaching noon, Li Qingchuan came to the Jianshui Sightseeing Train Ticket Office, and wanted to take his family to experience the meter-gauge railway, but he could not make the trip because the tickets were sold out.

"Unexpectedly, the small train tickets for the entire holiday have already been booked. The tours in Jianshui these days are really hot."

"Before the holiday, friends from other provinces asked me about the recent epidemic situation in Yunnan." Li Qingchuan said, "I told them that Ruili's epidemic situation is well under control, and you can come to Yunnan with confidence during the holiday."

Affected by the recent epidemic, Ruili City has implemented traffic control on vehicles and people leaving Ruili since 22:00 on March 30. In principle, no entry or exit will be allowed.

Tourism in the city was therefore "suspended", but tourism in many places in Yunnan has not been affected by this.

The Puzhehei Scenic Spot in Qiubei County, which opened a tram on March 31, has become one of the most popular tourist destinations.

The person in charge of a hotel in the scenic spot said that April 3 to 4 this year was the peak period for bookings. At the end of March, a large part of the hotel's rooms in early April had been booked.

According to data from Ctrip, Lijiang and Kunming rank second and fourth in the country in the ranking of popular destinations for cross-provincial travel during the Ching Ming Festival.

In the "Qingming Tourism Trend Report" released by Fliggy Travel, the growth rate of air ticket bookings to Kunming is also among the best.

Mang City, which is adjacent to Ruili City, has not been affected by the epidemic, but Zhu Shaoping, who has settled here, still decided to abandon his original decision to return to his hometown in Lianghe County.

"Reducing the flow of individuals can be regarded as making a little contribution to the prevention and control of the epidemic." Zhu Shaoping said.

Under the recommendation of his friends, he, like many people in Yunnan, chose to send his thoughts to his deceased relatives and friends by means of online sacrifices.

In addition to the Internet Sacrifice Sweep, "No Fire Sacrifice Sweep" has also become a new trend during the Ching Ming Festival this year.

On the eve of Qingming Festival, the Propaganda Department of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Emergency Management Department of Yunnan Province, the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Yunnan Province and other departments jointly issued the "Fire-free Qingming Proposal" to advocate green environmental protection from all walks of life and comply with fire protection regulations.

Kunming citizen Zhang Xiulin said, “The climate in Yunnan is relatively dry recently, and we can’t burn paper when we offer to sweep, so we chose to buy some flowers to express our grief.”

The trend of flower ceremonies has driven the increase in sales of sacrificial flowers in Yunnan and the overall increase in the revenue of the flower industry.

He Chunyan, a florist at the Kunming Dounan Flower Market, said that compared with previous years, the price of fresh cut asteraceae before Qingming Festival this year has doubled, but even if the price rises, the supply of goods is still in short supply.
