Syria: 8 dead and 3 in intensive care, after a family quarrel over sheep herding
Eight people were killed and three others were injured in a tribal quarrel in the Qamishli region in northeastern Syria.
Local sources in the city of Qamishli said that eight were killed and three were wounded for intensive care, after a quarrel between the Al-Haso and Al-Hallab families in the village of Al-Dalawiya in the Qamishli countryside.
The sources emphasized that "the dispute erupted between the two families after a number of sheep entered a wheat field, which led to a quarrel that developed into the use of weapons."
The sources added that "the village and its neighboring villages are in a state of tension in anticipation of a new clash between the two families belonging to the same clan, and that notables and tribal sheikhs from Qamishli arrived in the village to calm the situation."
