Japan Post has disciplined seven people, including the director, for saying that the director of the post office in Fukuoka Prefecture suspected that the scandal had been reported internally and forced him to admit that he had reported the scandal to his colleagues. I understand.

Seven executives, including the general manager, who is the head of the "Chikuzen Eastern District Liaison Committee" made at post offices in Nogata City and Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, were disposed of.

According to the people concerned, three years ago, information on scandals related to the director of the general bureau was sent to the whistleblowing window set up by Japan Post.

Knowing this, the general director suspected that a colleague's director had made a report, and called several directors and urged him to admit that he had made the report, saying, "I know who made the report" or "I will crush the criminal." That is.

The suspected directors complained that they were forced to approve the report, but other directors of the "liaison meeting" were accused of "blaming the director" and asked to resign.

Since some of the directors suspected of making a report were on leave, Japan Post has taken disciplinary action such as suspension of work and reduction of salary for seven people, including the general director who forced the report to be accepted.

Regarding this, Japan Post has stated that it will make efforts to prevent recurrence so that this will not happen in the future, and plans to improve the whistleblowing system, such as thorough protection of consultants.
