Exactly one week ago, the RKI had recorded 20,472 new infections and 157 new deaths within one day.
The data reflect the status of the RKI dashboard from 05:05 a.m., subsequent changes or additions to the RKI are possible.
According to Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn, more than twelve percent of Germans have been vaccinated against the corona virus at least once.
That's more than ten million people, as the CDU politician tweeted.
4.3 million also received the second vaccination.
Around 10.7 million doses of the vaccine were inoculated from BioNTech and Pfizer, 2.9 million from Astrazeneca and 700,000 from Moderna.

The RKI has counted 2,873,190 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 in Germany since the beginning of the pandemic.
The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at around 2,560,400.
The total number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 76,895.

This means that 100 infected people theoretically infect 103 more people.
The value represents the occurrence of the infection 8 to 16 days ago.
