The weather will be fine for this first long weekend of the year.

And despite the health situation, the French will move to take advantage of the tolerance granted during the Easter weekend before a national semi-containment.

According to Bison Futé's forecasts, traffic will be "difficult" on Saturday in the direction of departures and Monday in the direction of return.

Saturday, in the direction of departures, the organization calls to leave or cross the Ile de France before 9 am or after 2 pm because "the departures from Ile de France should be numerous in the morning".

Monday, “the return and crossing the Ile de France will be difficult from mid-morning.

The difficulties will increase significantly in the afternoon and will extend to the national level ”.

Bison futé therefore advises to return to or cross the Ile de France before 10 a.m. and to avoid the A13 between Rouen and the Ile de France from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Travel to the coast

Also to be avoided: the A11, between Le Mans and the Ile de France, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the A7, between Orange and Lyon, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the A43, between Chambéry and Lyon, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The traffic remains fluid this Friday and for the day of Sunday.

Vacationers are expected "mostly to resorts and coastal areas, located at medium distance from their homes", according to Bison Smart, who believes, however, that the health restrictions in force throughout the territory "will limit the difficulties".

After Monday, April 5, no inter-regional travel will be authorized, except for a compelling reason, with, always, the possibility of return to France for French people living abroad, as well as journeys for cross-border workers.
